Job Description

  • Carry out a biannual audit of the entity (code of ethics);

  • Conduct surveys in each quarter (can be in conjunction with mxp) on possible cases of harassment (in all ELD);

  • Educate the plenary on the protocol for resolution;

  • Submit PHAVC semiannual report (Prevention Harassment and Anti-Violence Committee);

  • Establish a compliance matrix;

  • Establish sanctions matrix.

  • Update the Code of Ethics in the event of unforeseen situations.

  • Participate in meetings with the MC, quarterly.

    Mandatory Requirements for Application

    The candidate for the position of Ethics Officer it cannot:

    1. Have any negative ethical history in the performance of previous functions at AIESEC or in other contexts.


    2. Not having completed their previous term or not being finished with their current leadership experience within AIESEC. Eligibility requires that the candidate be no longer holding any active position within AIESEC at the time of application.


    3. Must not currently hold positions in AIESEC — for example, as a LC Council member, LCVP, LCP, or others.


    4. Completely disengage from AIESEC exchange programs or other initiatives that generate potential conflicts of interest, whether direct or indirect. As required by the Global Ethics Policy, conflicts of interest must be disclosed and resolved transparently should you find yourself in such situations in the future.


    5. Not be participating in local leadership structures (such as LC/MC boards), nor can you handle cases where there are personal or professional conflicts of interest—especially if there is any potential for direct or indirect benefit involved.

Specific Questions

  1. Can you describe a situation in which you had to make a difficult ethical decision? How did you act, and what did you learn?

  2. If you observed a member of the organization violating the Code of Ethics, how would you proceed to address the situation?

  3. Charismatic leadership inspires action and confidence: can you share an experience in which you successfully motivated or influenced a resistant group to pursue an ethical cause?

  4. How would you describe the ideal culture of an organization like AIESEC? What changes would you consider important to strengthen an ethical and inclusive culture?

  5. How do you encourage your organization's members to adopt ethical practices in their daily lives? What types of initiatives would you promote?


  6. Please outline an ethics plan that takes into account the international and national compendium and presents improvements to the current Code of Ethics, which will be approved at the next legislative meeting.
